Creative writing vol 15: Education Cameroon 16/09/2021
Studying over 16 subjects in our secondary schools in cameroon for me in not relevant. this is because most of school in cameroon are suffering from insufient staffs. There the few teachers present in schools are forced to tach more than one subject including subjects which are no thier master subjects therefore leading to a poor teaching process and poor understanding by the students. also this subject will not Thebe to many for the students to follow up properly as such student do not study this promote cram work, exam malpractice n cheating just because they are trying to get pass marks for promotion finally student are promoted with empty heads they become mark all trades maters of non because they have studied about 16 subject for school year and are not good in any of the subjects.
Talking about the content of this subjects we study for example forest in Sweden,mining in Australia and the history of other countries like America, Nigeria,Italy etc for its a total waste of time and it will lead us to no where because our same thing has been taught over years and up till date we have not seen the importance or the benefits if. I don't think this same countries we keep studying their evolution and history and geography and industralation are also included our country history n geography in content oof their subjects. I think what should be the content of our subjects is the history,geography and industrialization of our own country Cameroon so that we the students will better under the evolution of our country, the ongoing and current development of our country which will enable us to better fit and cope with our society and will also help us to contribute to the building and development of our country.
So generally I think the content of our subjects in Cameroon are not the best and it's not helping us the students because we are being taught little or nothing about our own country.
