Hi steemians, welcome to my blog.
As we all know, slavery has long ended centuries back but, in one way or the other, people are still enslaving humans. Not just humans but children. There are many ways people enslave children either knowingly or unknowingly.
In your own words, what does Child Slavery mean and what are its most common manifestations? |

Child slavery means putting a child through unnecessary labour of suffering that deprives the child of access to education, healthcare and freedom. It is a way of exploiting a child for a particular benefit (not for the child) but for someone else.
The most common form of child slavery is child labour. That's putting a child through undue labour which is beyond the child's age and that which affects the child physically, like sickness, mentally and emotionally, causing the child trauma and his/her self-esteem and can interfere with their education.
Such forms of forced labour are:
Working to feed the family
Hawking
Doing excessive house chores
Recruitment into the military etc
How does forced labor impact the lives of children? |

Of course, the impact would be negative. Such impacts are:
It leads to having poor or low self-esteem.
It deprives the victim of being educated.
It is detrimental to their health.
The children may be permanently poor.
It may result in death.
Children are being exposed to danger like being raped.
What strategies do you consider effective to eradicate forced child labor? |

There should be public enlightenment to make the public know about the negative effects of child labour.
Education should be made compulsory for children. This will help some families from sending their children to work in order to earn a living.
The government should make laws that will make defaulters be arrested and prosecuted. This will serve as a deterrence to others.
Need for advocacy. Governmental and nongovernmental organisations and individual bodies should rise up to speak against such practices in our society.
Do you think it is fundamental for children to have the freedom to fully develop and fulfil their dreams? Explain your answer. |

Yes. Children should be allowed to grow and live their dreams. As a parent or guardian, every child under your care should be treated well, have access to good education and healthcare, the child should be protected from all harm and should also be loved, supported and be cared for. By so doing, it will enable children to achieve their goals in life.

I don't know why some people sees in maltreating other people children. I wish the government or any other law enforcement agencies should look or take a serious action about child abuse and maltreatment.

Child slavery is a serious violation of human rights, depriving them of basic necessities such as education, health care and freedom. Where children are forced to work beyond their capabilities, resulting in physical, mental and emotional harm. It perpetuates a cycle of poverty and suffering, hampering their development and well-being.

Alot of children under child slavery are being deprived of quality education. I keep wondering while human can be heartless to treating other children in that matter. Looking at them despite what they are going through they still don't have right to make decisions all they do is the work their masters want. Hello @eveetim hope your day is going well.Child slavery is a terrible thing, taking away a child's chance to be happy and learn. It's sad to see kids forced to work instead of going to school or playing.
We need to stop this by spreading awareness making sure all kids can go to school, and punishing those who exploit children. Every child deserves a chance to grow up safe and chase their dreams.,thanks for sharing wish you success 💖🤗🌸💐🌺💞.
