I count it a privilege to be alive to see the month of April. April is a special month for me as it is the month of my birth. In 23 days, I will have another successful and blessing filled year added to my years. Please you may start to send in your birthday prayers, wishes and gift. God bless you.

I hope you have seen my call for support for my first ever project on the #steem blockchain - #BlessTheOrphan. The project is designed to

Having reflected on the above, I have many reasons to be grateful and as well give back to many. I am happy to announce that I will make an attempt to be a blessing to others in a way of showing gratitude. My focus shall be the Orphaned and the Girl Child.

Having lost a father when I most needed him was a thorn on my flesh. Like I recount many times, I felt life was over with me because of the horrible events that surrounded my life. Thanks be to God for the message of hope – Jesus Christ. My salvation experience opened up a way to meet people that eventually led me to #steem and @Steemchurch.

Thus, I will see how I can begin to contribute to the welfare of the orphans and vulnerable girl child around me.

Now, to the business of the day, lets take a look at this verse of the scripture:

Proverbs 30:5:

Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.

The Bible has told us that the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds and things that seem to set itself against the knowledge of God. Truly, the fight of the Christian is a fight of faith.

All that the devil is struggling for is how to make us bury our faith in God. This is because even satan knows that faith is a great weapon as enlisted in Ephesians 6. With faith, we can bring down the fiery darts of the enemy shot against us.

Beyond being used for warfare, faith is the only currency for our transaction in the Kingdom life. If we will receive anything from God, they are things we will ask by faith.

The essence of faith in our Christian walk with God cannot be overemphasized. Having known this, there is a need to continuously build and boost our faith in the Word of God. Good enough that the scripture in Romans 10 verse 17 stated that our faith cometh by our giving our ears to the word of God.

The focal scripture this morning tells us that every word of God has been tried and purified. The word from God has been found to be faithful and true. The word of God is dependable and trustworthy. The word of God is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.

The word of God here is Christ Jesus as revealed in John 1: 1. When we take our refuge in the Word, we are secured.

As such, I call on you yo actively fill yourself up with the promises of God’s protection, forgiveness, blessings and victory as you move out today in this new week and month.

So many things are fighting to gain your eartime: the world, television news, internet, but the goodnews is that Christ who is the word of God is also in need of your eartime. He will feed you with strength and faith for success.

Chose to build a shield of faith around your life, marriage,children and family. Listen, believe, and speak faith.

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus, You are my refuge, our fortress, and I will trust in You. I trust You to keep me and my family from fear, terror, dangers, disease, and accidents. We trust in Your grace and Your love for us. I also trust You to keep us in Your divine health and strength today and all the days of our lives - Amen.
