GOD'S EYES ARE ON US

in HeartChurch5 years ago

Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me

His eyes are on the sparrow and I know He watches me.

PSALM 23:1-5

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

We all know that God is omnipotent and as such, He is everywhere and sees everything at the same time.

There is an adage that says,

We are like pencils in the hands of the creator.

So every one of us, whether big, small, infant, old, young, the Lord's eyes are on us at the same time, hour and seconds. Lest we forget, we are His footstool.

It does not matter what we are going through, He right by your side, His eyes are on you, watching every step you take making sure to stop you from getting yourself harm or to stop harm from reaching you.

I have heard most people say, if you know the spiritual battles God is fighting for us, every day, we have no reason to doubt that He isn't watching us while we are sleeping, bathing, cooking, eating, playing, going out, in the noontime and the rest activities we make for a whole year.

I see that to be the truth because most times, we walk out of harm without even knowing that, that particular path we took was a deadly zone not because of our spirituality but because His eyes are watching us. Most times, we get to hear the news about the incident that took place on that same path we took.

PSALMS 91:7-16

A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall [a]bear you up, Lest you [b]dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will [c]set him on high because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With [d]long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

Whenever He sees the plans of the wicked in front, He makes us walk at the back and if the trap is in front, we are walking at the back or He helps us jump over it. That is what the eys on God on us can do.

Many at times, we don't feel God by our side or feel He is watching us in the face of our trials and tribulation. We only get to realize He is by our side when we feel the chains are broken and the doors open for our breakthrough.

ACTS 12:5-11

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but [a]constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers, and the guards before the door were [b]keeping the prison.
Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.
Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.”
So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.
When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.

Peter only realized after when he was set free by God

And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”

His eyes are on you and He is still watching your every step.

ISAIAH 43:2

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Never forget that His eyes are on you and He never sleeps nor slumber.
