Amazing adjustments that have happened to my life since I found steemit

When I saw this contest, I felt I had made lots of post as regards to how steemit has changed my life and how it has been a blessing to me. So I thought, I might not participate. But the testimonies of steemit has no end. It's like a light in the dark and can't be hidden.... Lots of things have taken place in my life thanks to steemit. But before I go into this adjustments. I want to thank God Almighty for keeping me alive to see this new year. And to Thank God for his love care and protection upon my family and friends and to say to fellow steemians reading this, Happy new year ".

 I joined steemit in June 2017. @samtickks introduced me to steemit and can't stop thanking him for that. At first, I didn't know what I was doing, was making very short posts, most times jokes and enjoying myself and people's comment even though I wasn't earning anything. Few times I made plagiarised post and cheetah visited as usual, Yes, I was visited by cheetah few times. I quickly made corrections and stopped posting copied works. Steemit helped me understand the essence and importance of originality. This was were the adjustment began. Being on steemit gave the privilege to encounter some amazing people who helped me grow. E.g @ehiboss and @ogochukwu. They taught me how to interact with people, not to spam, how to gain visibility, the right tags to use and so on. I started to adjust and make corrections. Before steemit I was on lots social media, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc... Was always posting my pictures and getting likes with no reward and I was happy. Didn't know there would ever be a social media that rewards your posts. Then I discovered steemit and my visit to many of this social  medias reduced. I was spending more time on steemit

 I saw myself getting involved in the formation of a steemit Uyo community with the help of @samtickks... He explained the need to build a steemit community in Uyo and I joined in building that, making contributions, inviting people to steemit and helping newbies settle on steemit. With steemit, I became part of something great. We started organising meetups and reach outs and I got to meet great minds like @ejemai, @tojukaka. Steemit brought people closer, people from far and near coming for meetups.

 

 I have also experienced financial adjustments, Being a second child in a family of six kids, am always reminded to do well, finish my school, get a good job and help take of my younger ones. My mum with her meagre earnings was the one handling it all. When steemit came my way things changed for the better, gradually I relived my mum of the responsibility of paying my fees and sending me pocket money. With the help of steemit am paying my fees, feeding myself and even sending money back home from time to time. Steemit made me able to put a smile on my mums face, and that's the best thing in the world to me. Going back home this break I was able to buy lots of goodies and foodstuffs that feed the family throughout our stay in the village. Now my younger ones can call and asking me to send them money once in a while.
