The shiny star

All those were shot during one of my photo walks in the middle of winter.
There was some fresh snow from the night before, the temperatures dropped way below zero and and the day sunny and fresh. Perfect for a walk right? I could almost be sure there will be no people in the place where I usually see lots of them walking dogs, jogging and fishing.
I was right. Only crazy ones that willingly go and freeze their noses ;)

What you see here is about as high the sun goes during the shortest days. At 4 pm it is already starting to set. The days are short and cold, but one thing is good about it - the long shadows.

Since my bro wasn't home at that time I decided to take one of his cameras for a walk this time.
What brothers are for, right?

It was lunchtime (around 2 pm) when I took those and around -10 degrees C if I remember right.

Watery sun in middle of winter well captured @ewkaw really gives a feel of how cold the day was outdoors. Using grasses added a nice feel to the photography.
