Vlog #18: Will content created in other STEEM applications be displayed on your Steemit blog? I asked the Zappl team.
For those who just want the answer, it's YES. This is what they said:
Yes it will show up on steemit, but anything from steemit or any other site will not show up on zappl. Its kinda up to other sites how they filter the steem blockchain data.
How I see development
I believe that the development of apps and front ends that make it possible to create content for the Steem blockchain raises the value of the entire Steem blockchain.
This will benefit everyone that's on it.
Zappl
Zappl is a twitter like application being developed on top of the Steem blockchain. I have been enthusiastic about Zappl from the start and have invested in it.
They released a video yesterday displaying new features and the look. click here
I asked them a question yesterday whether content that I create with Zappl will also appear on my Steemit blog. And they said this:
Yes it will show up on steemit, but anything from steemit or any other site will not show up on zappl. Its kinda up to other sites how they filter the steem blockchain data.
It's not a problem
At first, I thought this would be a problem for me. Because I don't want to display Zappl microblogs on my Steemit blog posts.
They will also appear on the feed of my followers and it can potentially be perceived as irritating.
But this morning I realized I was stuck in old thinking. Steemit.com is not the final station of the Steem blockchain. It's just a frontend that displays everything I do.
So in the future, I can see blogging frontends being developed that just display blogging content. Like Zappl is just displaying Zappl content.
And I believe this will happen because the Steemit blockchain can be monetized.
I talk about it more in my vlog.

Hey, my bro!
Let me first say that you bought 1% of all Zappl shares! Wow, if it blows up (And i mean in a good way), that'll turn out to be one of your sweetest investments yet, I'm sure.
In regards to the Zappl posting issue you discussed, I'm sure they will find some way to categorized or separate one from the other. It's like the "resteem" feature where other posts blend into your own. It can't last forever and these concerns I'm sure will be addressed in the future. I mean micro-blogging is completely different from Steemit articles. As far as I can see, they serve disparate purposes. The developers have to be aware of this and will act accordingly. We can only speculate as of now but again, I think it should be resolved in the end.
Fantastic stuff from you as always, @exyle. Steem on, my brother! :)
I just hope they can make it happen because it will raise the value of the Steem blockchain. Everyone that has Steem will benefit from this because I believe good apps will make the tokens more valuable. And everyone else or new users can just enjoy a new fantastic way to create content. And the developers will benefit because they can monetize the app so that they earn steem when a user earns steem from using their app. It's like win-win all around.
And I share your enthusiasm that any problem will be resolved in the end :) And as always. Thanks for your nice reply.
Zappl is really an interesting project.. looking forward for its launch.
It's very nice. I'm also looking forward to the launch!
I will need to learn about Zappl, I am a bit slow on the uptake.
There even is a @zappl account on Steemit. You can find all about it there!
Thank you @exyle, I will check it out
nice post, upvote and follow you @exyle
Thank you!
Invest? is it ever open to the public?
But I share your concerns as I have the same questions in mind. But there is still a risk of microblogging on Steem that you might overlook. Let me share a little experience and you will understand ...
I went to Europe for travelling a while ago. And before I left, I was enjoying quite some automatic upvotes from big fishes. I have been conscious about my posting frequency but before I left, I hoped to "clear my stocks" so I can blog about Europe without photos-to-share piling up in my files. Maybe that's how I lost @gavvet's vote (my guess only), the biggest one at that time. I may had posted a little bit too many (like 5 posts in 2 days, something like that) for the bot to consider me 'spammy'...
So, you see? even now the blockchain does not punish you for over posting, the criteria of some big voters might consider you spammy and drop you off the list... Unless they add more conditions to the filter, but that's up to the voters to decide. So, even you just want to write a memo for yourself, the blockchain will tell the whole world: exyle just submit a POST!! FYI my friend! :) p.s. I am pretty optimistic about losing big votes though... It gives me incentive to write better and attract votes from many others out there. I don't like those who whine after they lose big votes like they deserve them. It's a free world! :)
There was an ICO on bitshares to fund the project. It's fully funded now.
bummer! I just checked, their first post is a few days before I went to Europe... So I missed this one... If I had known, I would have invested some as I love the idea.
Cool...I want see this new thing :)
It looks really cool! I can't wait to try it.
Me too :)
Darn it, I wanted to invest :-) ... Good Move!
nice sir
