The Diary Game - Sunday, December 6, 2025: Relaxing on Holidays with dek Raffa

Hello, good morning and happy greetings to all my Steemian friends. How are you today? I hope you are all in good health and always under the protection of Allah SWT, allowing you to carry out all your activities well. Alhamdulillah, I am back to share my daily activities on this happy day.

Alhamdulillah, on Sunday, a national holiday, Allah SWT still bestows His mercy and health upon His servants. As dawn approached, I awoke to the sound of the call to prayer (adhan) coming from the loudspeaker of the Babul Huda Panggoi Mosque. The proximity of my house to the mosque made the call to prayer clearly audible. The adhan signaled the arrival of dawn prayer and the command to immediately perform the obligatory morning prayer. Before performing the iqamah (prayer), I performed the sunnah prayer of dawn (sunnah) two rak'ahs at home. Then, I left the yard in the still dark and overcast weather.

After congregational prayers, I walked home, breathing in the still-fresh air. Then, I went home and lay down with my still-sleeping child. Sunday is certainly a time eagerly awaited by many, especially students, including myself, who teaches at a high school. While government employees get Saturdays off, we teachers only have Sundays off, like today. Likewise, the students eagerly await the first day of the Islamic calendar. Six days of non-stop studying at school certainly drains the energy and minds of these future leaders. Sunday is a time to refresh the soul and mind by doing various fun activities with loved ones at home.

Sundays can be a day spent enjoying various activities after a week of busy school. Sunday holidays don't have to cost a fortune to travel far; simply staying at home with quality activities can strengthen the love between beloved family members. While waiting for Raffa to wake up, I grabbed my smartphone to check the latest information. News about flash floods and landslides continues to fill social media and online. Several areas in Aceh are still in dire need of emergency assistance from all parties. Hopefully, all affected communities will receive immediate assistance, especially from the government, to prevent further deaths.

I spent my Sunday off at home doing various routine chores. I also spent the day playing with Raffa, something I rarely get to do these days due to my busy school schedule. At 9 a.m., I took Raffa to JA Kupie Keude Aceh to relax. I enjoyed a cup of black coffee, while I ordered a cold Milo. I enjoyed spending almost an hour at the coffee shop with my beloved son. Afterward, I returned home and played with Raffa. It wasn't until midday when the call to prayer (adhan) sounded, signaling the arrival of the midday prayer (zuhur). I immediately left my beloved yard and headed to the Babul Huda Mosque to perform the obligatory congregational midday prayer. After midday, I took a short nap until I woke up just before the afternoon prayer (asr).
