The Diary Game - Wednesday, January 14, 2026: Teaching in the First Hour
Good morning and best wishes to all my Steemian friends. How are you today? I hope you are all in good health and always under the protection of Allah SWT, allowing you to carry out all your activities well. Alhamdulillah, I'm back here to share my daily activities on this happy day.
Seeing the clock approaching seven in the morning, Western Indonesian Time, I stepped out of my beloved yard. From my residential complex in the Panggoi area, I headed to my assignment at a high school in Lhokseumawe City. The streets I traveled this midweek morning were still relatively quiet. The streets were still very quiet, and there weren't many motorized vehicles passing by. Only a few cars, motorcycles, and three-wheeled pedicabs were seen taking children to school. It was still quite early in the morning when I left, and I'm used to leaving for work early almost every day.
Without any problems, a few moments later I arrived at one of my favorite coffee shops not far from my work place. I stopped for breakfast while enjoying a cup of black coffee at Dr. Kupi Espresso, which is not far from school. I took advantage of the moment while eating breakfast to update myself on the latest news. Today's sophisticated digital technology makes it so easy to access the latest news in just seconds. However, we really need to be careful in sorting and selecting that information. A moment later, after paying the bill of just IDR 5,000, I got out of Kupi and headed straight to the school where I teach.
Upon arriving at the beautiful, shady schoolyard, the students were already bustling with arrivals. I filled out my fingerprint attendance form after parking my vehicle in the designated space. Every Wednesday, I'm scheduled to teach during the first period after the bell rings. After a short break, I head to the 12th-4th grade classroom on the second floor. I carry out my duties for two hours until the bell rings for the next period. I simply provide some direction and brief information to the final year students. Then, I leave the classroom and relax in my workspace, using the time to complete some assignments. I briefly perform the Dhuha prayer as an additional practice for the day.
Afterward, I relax at school with some fellow teachers who aren't teaching. Around noon, I pick up Raffa from the daycare center and take him to the therapy clinic. While waiting for my son, I head to a nearby coffee shop. When the call to prayer (adhan) sounds, I head to the Al Mabrur Mosque to perform the Dhuhr prayer in congregation. Next, I immediately picked up Raffa from therapy and headed home. After lunch, I took a nap until I woke up just before the afternoon prayer call. That evening, I just went about my routine activities until bedtime.
That concludes my activities for this happy day, and thank you for the continued support of all my Steemit friends everywhere.
Regards,
@fadlymatch
