Original Drawing - The beaty elf and the half demon.
Sometimes, inspiration strikes you when you don’t expect.
Hello again Steemit friend, I’m back in the wagon of art and I made this drawing to get into the motion again. This drawing was suppose to be simple but I decided to work on it a little.
These characters are characters of mine whose belong to the World of Warcraft universe. Perhaps you haven’t noticed, but I like to write stories about Roleplaying. WoW is a universe I’m so passionate for, like people who loves MARVELS comics or the ones who are diehard fans of Star Wars.
This drawing is originally inspired by another piece made by artist Faebelina you can find her in her Instagram and twitter. She made a piece of her night elf with her pairing a night elf demon hunter. I have liked her piece so much that I wanted my version of her piece but with my characters.
Returning to my characters, left is my demon hunter Hadett, who is a demon hunters blood elf and the elf lady is my mage Minala. They have a step-siblings relationship.
So, here I let you the process of my piece since the beginning to the end.
1. Initial sketch
Like mostly of my drawings, this begins also with a sketch I made some time ago, actually, the day I watched the piece where i got inspired.
2. Re drawing and correction of the poses
After scanning my piece, I like to draw it again mostly for correcting proportions and anatomy stuffs. I don't like to be so perfectionist but I'm like that sometimes.
3. Defining the characters
After the redraw I define the characters. I'm so messy when I draw the basic lines.
4. Lineart
Line Art is very important step. From here, I define the basic cloth, details, facial factions and essentially all the important things.
5. Flat colors
Flat colors help to define which thing has what color. from here comes the fun part, gives shadow and lights to the objects and forms.
6. Finish!
After some time, here is the piece done! In case you were wonder, the guy is blind, kind of.
I hope you have enjoyed my drawing. Thank so much for stay by and watch my Art. Don’t forget to hit the Upvote button if you have liked my piece. You can comment if you want, I read all your comments. Until the next time, see you later!
