Prepping for Thailand
Thai Food has my heart
I have been sick the last few days, and have slept almost 15 hours in the last 24 hours. I haven't felt like eating much, but Wes was hungry. So we found a local Thai place that had great reviews and headed that way, my favorite soup is the Tom Yum soup and that sounded good.
We had been told that Num Tok (waterfall) is the best beef dish, and if it is a good Thai restaurant they will have it on the menu. We got there and LONE BEHOLD, they had it!! Wes was excited to try something new. We were supposed to take pictures of the food, but we both dove head first into the delicious temptation that was our Thai Food.
I have a feeling we will be going there again before our trip to Thailand! We are both so excited for this experience and to be able to devour all the delicious food!! Only 36 days to go!!
I came home and fell asleep for a few more hours...here's to feeling better quickly!!
Have a great day or night!!
If you like Nam Tok you should know that there is an entire range of foods that fall into a similar category as that dish. it is called Isaan (or Esaan) food and it is named after the northeastern part of Thailand where the dishes originate.
It tends to be cheap, available almost anywhere, and the only dangerous thing is you have to be careful about how much spice they put on it because as I am sure you know, they spice the hell outta their food over here.
you are in for a culinary treat once you get over here :)
The first picture looks like for me like Thai Barbecue right?
That's Tom yum
