JustSwap-Crypto Academy S4W5-Homework Post for @kouba01
Greetings everyone,
I am delighted to share with everyone in this great community yet another crypto assignment of mine and hoping to bring out the best I can do. This week lesson was greatly done by our noble professor in the person of @kouba01 and I really enjoyed going through this great lesson. The world is been controlled by various decentralized financial system as time goes and this as a result of the great benefits they bring to the ecosystem. This week's lesson is geared towards yet another exciting decentralized finance system which is an interesting one to learn about. I am thereby moving straight ahead to make my homework submission.
Question 1
The JustSwap platform is one of the great decentralized system to be in circulation of the Tron Blockchain as it was built on it. This protocol is a decentralized one as mentioned and used in the swapping of TRC-20 tokens. The JustSwap protocol is one of the decentralized financial systems we have in the crypto ecosystem and it is among that of the exchange systems we have. As a decentralized system all characteristics of a decentralized system is been available here. Such as low transactions fees, no middleman involved in transactions, and no central authority.
In the JustSwap platform, the individuals are freely made to make swaps of their TRC-20 tokens with a price which is regulated by the AMM meaning the Automated market Maker.
Moving further, the JustSwap platform is made up of the Swap, Liquidity Pool and that of the JustSwap as the features that come together to make up this platform protocol.
With the Swap feature as the name implies, it gives users the opportunity to make a swap of their TRC tokens and this is done without the interference of any middleman involved.
The Liquidity Pool also as the name implies gives individuals the opportunity to make an addition of their assets or holdings to the pool. This is done in order for them to be able to make some earnings from the platform. The individuals involved in the Liquidity pool are known as suppliers. The Liquidity which is found in the pool is also made good use by the AMM to give the prices of various assets.
last but not the least, The JustSwap Mining characteristic of the platform is the platform in which individuals can make a stake of their tokens from the liquidity pool.
The JustSwap protocol has a number of good benefits to the Tron Ecosystem and which is making great improvements.
Firstly, the JustSwap Platform brings a lot of funds to the Tron ecosystem in a sense that, when the assets are ben supplied to the liquidity pool by the individuals or liquidity provides and these assets are been used to generate funds because the Automated Market maker gives the prices of the assets. the liquidity providers then turn to get some funds with the making of transactions on the platform. Fees charged on the transactions are given to the providers.
Also, the JustSwap protocol is of great importance to the Tron ecosystem is a sense that the various users involved are freely allowed to make a swap of their TRC-20 tokens simply and safely. This is done with no middleman or intermediary involved.
Question 2
The JustSwap Platform supports a good number of tokens that are generated on the Tron blockchain. That is TRC-20 tokens. Below are the tokens and their short form or symbols tabulated below.
Token | Symbol |
---|---|
Ethereum | ETH |
Tron | TRX |
Bitcoin | BTC |
Sun | SUN |
Wrapped Bitcoin | WBTC |
Wrapped Tron | WTRX |
Just | JST |
Just Stablecoin | USDJ |
Tether | USDT |
Huobi Token | HT |
True Stablecoin | TUSD |
Dice | DICE |
Litecoin | LTC |
Wrapped Ethereum | WETH |
Wrapped BTT | WBTT |
Live | LIVE |
Wink | WIN |
These tokens are been supported by the JustSwap platform for trading and that pf swapping. Look at some of these tokens we have the word wrapped attached to it, this simply means that they are from a different blockchain and their prices have been merged with the tokens they are attached to. This will let them qualify to be traded on the Tron blockchain. Apart from that all other other tokens above are freely tradable on the network and they can be swapped on the platform.
In determining the price of a Token in just swap, the AMM is used to give the price of these tokens. This is because on the platform we have no order book tat will be able to make a prediction of the prices. the Automated Market marker is used.
Moving further, the liquidity that is seen in the pool is used by the AMM also to predict or give the price if the token.
Let's take this scenario, we have two tokens and one is bought with the order, the one that is been sold will reduce in quantity but increase in price in the pool. On the other hand, the token that is been bought will increase in quantity and reduce in price. This criteria occurs in our to keep a balance in the pool and make it remain constant until new liquidity is been added.
Question 3
In this task, i will connect my TronLink wallet to justswap.io. below are the steps involved;
I visit the TronLink official website to download chrome web extention and import my account using my TronLink Private Key
Then i visit the JustSwap's official website and then click on Connect Wallet
I choose the TronLink wallet which is the only available Tron based wallet.
- In this step the initialization process begins which i will have to connect the TronLink wallet the JustSwap through my chrome web extention. then i click on Connect
- The Tronlink wallet has been linked to justSwap which shows my Trons Balance.
Is there a mobile app?
JustSwap does not have a mobile application for either android or IOS but they can easily be accessed through Tron based mobile wallets. We can download these applications either App Store or Play Store.
Question 4
To be able to make a trade on JustSwap, the Linked TronLink wallet should have TRX Tokens in the wallet.
- We firstly click on Swap at the top left side of the official page of JustSwap.
We then select the token we want to swap our TRX with and input the amount.
Personally i chose the USDC to swap with my TRX. Next click on Swap to swap 5TRX which is equivalent to 0.476365USDC
I will need to confirm the swap by clicking on *Confirm Swap. I was charged *0.015TRX
I was asked to Sign the transaction to be able to proceed. Click on SIgn from the TronLink POP up menu
The swap is been executed and 0.476365USDC has been added to my wallet
Question 5
To add Liquidity we navigate to JustSwap's official website and follow the steps below;
- first click on Pool and Click on Add Liquidity
We then choose the pair we wish to supply. I chose USDC and TRX pair to supply *4TRX and 0.383463USDC, we then proceed to click on *Supply
A pop up from TronLink wallet will appear. We click on Sign to Approve
- Click on Comfirm Supply to confirm
- We need to sign the transaction on our Tronlink Wallet again from the pop up. Click on Sign.
- The liquidity has been added
In a nut shell, the JustSwap is a decentralized exchange platforms that enables users to make a swap of their tokens for TRC-20 tokens that is tokens that are generated from the Tron Blockchain. This protocol is very simple safe and very easy to use with no intermediaries involved. The JustSwap also has a liquidity pool which gives the suppliers funds from transactions made and also from the staking it in the mining pool.
I am therefore grateful to our noble professor in the person of @koubao1 form this wonderful lesson and I am looking forward to learning more from him.
Thank you very much.
Hello @farhmade,
Thank you for participating in the 5th Week Crypto Course in its 4th season and for your efforts to complete the suggested tasks, you deserve a Total|5.5/10 rating, according to the following scale:
My review :
Medium content in which you tried as much as possible to implement what you were asked to explain. Here are some notes I give you.
The importance of the platform in the TRON ecosystem has not been analyzed in depth.
In your explanation of how JustSwap works, you are asked to prepare an illustration.
You should have explained more how to use the platform on the mobile version.
Thanks again for your effort, and we look forward to reading your next work.
Sincerely,@kouba01
