The guidance of Fisher Stephens has kept the actors' wonderful performances. The town atmosphere of the film has a real feeling. Although many films have used the same similar routine, the story gives a fresh feeling in the process of watching. Justin timblek and other actors perform well. Justin is fully integrated into the role, and the little actor Ryde R Allen is a great actor. Cheryl Guerriero's play has a unique role and a touching bridge. I believe most people will be moved when they look.

This is a warm story between Palmer and Sam. Eddie Palmer was jailed for 12 years. A former football star came out of prison and returned to live with his grandmother in a small town in Louisiana. As a former felon, he was rejected by many people because of looking for a job, and finally found a job as a school cleaner.
Sam's gender is male, but he likes Princess Penelope's animation, dolls, make-up, tea party and dance. Sam is often yelled by his mother and discriminated against by her boyfriend in his RV life. Palmer was once abandoned by his mother and raised by his grandmother after his father died. It's the same experience that brings the two together, which is the difference of the plot .

The supporting actors are very helpful to the two protagonists. There are not many parts in the play, but the performance shows the real side of the characters. Sherry, Sam's mother, who is addicted to drugs, Ms. Vivian, who raised them, Maggie teacher in the school, and Palmer and Sam are mainly restricted by the people around them. They challenge campus bullying, queer discrimination, legal custody, and Palmer in prison Mo alone carries the truth. Some of his so-called friends will not be caught.

The film explores the relationship between the gender cognition of children before puberty and the responsibility of parents, and discusses the discrimination of people with criminal records, which is likely to lead to a return to the road of crime.
In the film, Palmer is from selfish to accepting. Sam expresses his thoughts when he grows up. At the end, he gives a warm ending. The imperfect Palmer is influenced by Sam, and the innocent Sam gets the happiest gift.

Through this film, I see that besides the disease, which is beyond our control, the most destructive things are drugs and violence.

Sam's mother is young and beautiful, but she is a drug addict living in a trailer. She doesn't work. She leaves for ten days and a half months from time to time and entrusts her child to Vivian, a neighbor who is too old to drive any more. Once, after returning from home, the whole person was in a very bad mental state, like a state of serious illness. Drug abuse, no job, mother and son are often disliked by their boyfriends, and even their boyfriends say some unpleasant words to their children. In a court scene, in order not to let the child be handed over to the child protection agency, she dressed up very spiritually. She looked like two different people.

I thought, is it not good to be like this all the time. But drug addicts can't do it. After returning to the trailer, they return to a state of decadence and uncontrollability. Although they love their children very much, they never beat and scold their own sons. They are angry and say that they can buy big houses for themselves and their sons. They can do this and that, and they are no worse than Palmer. But everybody knows that. It's impossible. All this is because of drugs. The result is that although she loves her child very much, she has no ability to give him the love she wants to give, and even can't give her normal life. Finally, because of love, she chose to give the custody of her child to Palmer, and her right to live with her child and her mother was deprived by drugs.

Palmer, a teenage football star, won a scholarship to Louisiana State University, but was injured in a game, unable to continue his career after surgery and finished his studies. Here, the first link to change fate is disease, but it is not enough to destroy life. However, in reality, it is needless to say that disease is terrible. After returning to his hometown, he was infected with drugs. Because the drug money conspired with other small partners to steal from one of them, he was caught by his father. Palmer seemed to be delirious because of taking drugs and beat his father to death with a bat, so he was finally put into prison. As a felony, he was no longer a teenager when he was released from prison. When felons return to society, they will inevitably encounter many setbacks. No employer is willing to hire a former violent felon. Palmer is lucky. Because of his grandmother's good reputation in the church and the community, a primary school principal is willing to give him a second chance, so he finds a job as a school cleaner.

However, it is still in the testing period, and the supervisor is not willing to give him the key to the school, the principal After knowing that Sam lives with him, he worries that he may hurt the child - that he can't be trusted. The root of the problem is drugs. This time, there are more violent factors. But what I want to say is that in real life, it is not only drugs but also impulses that lead to violence. While watching the movie, when Palmer was going to beat Sam because of a friend's bullying, several people in the barrage were saying the word "criminal thinking", which impressed me deeply. The so-called criminal thinking should be that when you encounter something that makes people angry, your first reaction is to find the criminal and beat him up.

Everyone is worried that Palmer's criminal thinking is likely to lead him to prison again. This kind of thinking is too tragic. Fortunately, the film design did not let him go to prison again, but if it is a reality, once the police and he are not friends, and the beaten person is a stranger, the parole will definitely be revoked, and a new criminal record and sentence may have to be added when he returns to prison. Although the starting point is justice, the result is really tragic. Although Palmer in the play finally returns to the society and gains the trust of the supervisor. The supervisor gives the school key that the cleaner can master, which seems to stabilize the job of the cleaner. However, this process is undoubtedly very painful and difficult, and not everyone is so lucky to survive. If there are no injuries, no drugs, and no serious injuries with clubs, It must be a different life.
