Be humble and honour God in the lives of others

Anybody who is not humble will definitely end up in a disgraceful way, no matter who the person is. Let us take the life of Goliath as an example.

1Samuel 17:51 (NKJV)
Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled."

Goliath thought that he was the most powerful man on earth and that no man on earth could confront him. He rely so much on his experience and past successes. He was however disgraced in front of little David and the entire Israelite.

Just like Goliath, we have people today who are full of themselves, they talk to people anyhow and treat them anyhow. They think they can do and undo. They fail to acknowledge the fact that God create every man.

Whenever temptation want to come and you feel like using your position or your power to treat people under you anyhow, just remember Goliath. Nobody is greater than any other person. The position you occupied today is a privilege from God, not because you are the most qualified. You have to put this in mind if you don't want to end up in a disgraceful and shameful way like Goliath.

The way to elevation under God in every aspect of life is to honour God and be humble in your relationship with men.

Meditate on this and check your life, how do you treat weaker people around you? Do you honour God in their lives?

Remember, everything you have and everything you have built, be it your job, career, ministry, marriage, academics, enterprise and so on can end shamefully if you fail to honour God in the lives of other men.
