Another Quarantine Goal: Learning A New Language, This Time Nepalese

in GEMS5 years ago

My other goal are to learn a new language.
I love language and i would love to have at least a basic knowledge about speaking in another laguage.

For this time, i decide to learn Nepalese Language.
When i googled it, people said the difficulty of this language is high.
So it makes me more curious.
But i know and realize its mot easy to learn a new language.
Thats why i will take baby step to approach this language.

When i first learning a new language, i want to make sure i know how to read their words and understand at least a little bit how their words structured.
Thats why rather than going to learning words by words by heart, i approach the alphabet first.

As i imagine, its a new world.
They have so many alphabets that its seems like impossible for me to know.

But i will keep doing better and learning them.

This is their alphabet with how its supposed to sounds like in english.

After finishing this, i watch on youtube how to pronounce each alphabet and i think that i nailed it.
Its not so hard for my tongue to pronounce it.
Maybe because its similar with how arab words sounds like, with a “kh” “ch” “sh”

After i finished writing down the alphabet and practice on how to say it, i move to the words.
Because i want to learn how they structure their words.

I choose “people” as the category of what i should learn first.

At the end of my study i will always put a summary of what I understand from my learning this time.
I do things like this because i think it will be faster for us to understand if we analyze thing ourself rather than just reading them.
I will forget it in the next 2 hours if i just read on how it’s supposed to be.
With analyzing and find the information, it will last longer in my brain.
