Chargers Starting Running-Back Demands to be "Paid" or "Traded"
Storylines in the offseason are always easy to come by. Such as the story of Kawhi Leonard being traded shortly after winning the NBA championship.
Today's story lands us in California where Melvin Gordon (the starting running-back for the Chargers) is demanding to be 'paid' or be 'traded.'
It's not uncommon to see NFL players demand a new contract (especially in the final year of their current contract). The reason is more than what you would expect.
Playing in the NFL is like being hit by a truck every Sunday (literally . . . they did a study).
Just in case an injury occurs and that injury is a career-ending injury, then their is no GUARANTEED money in their future. By signing a new contract (before the final year of the current contract) it protects the player and their family.
So now the question becomes . . .
"Does the Chargers organization consider Melvin Gordan to be an ELITE running-back?"
We will see.
NFL is one of the most dangerous game and also the best game.....
I would agree.
I remembered one player said if you are not ready to play by Wednesday you need to retire next season.
He used to run the ball for Steelers.
Forgot his name

Even though, his so far performance and record has made him to be selected, but question is valid, what they think what's best for them.
