FEEDING SELFISHNESS
Selfishness is not self-love, but a passion disordered by oneself.
Aristotle
We all have all been guilty of having a small selfish monster inside of us, consciously or unconsciously. And over the course of time, we have somehow perfectioned its existence to use it as a self-defense mechanism. We can blame this on greed, power, and money but at the end of the day, we are still not able to distinguish the good and the bad of selfishness itself, and how can both of them affect us in our daily lives.
The rivalry between the good and the bad seems to be the oldest to date, from the beginning of humanity itself. Day, night, sun, storms, the on-going battle between the warmth of life and coldness of the night.
We could set the hypothetical boundaries each has on their own, but at the same time, that wouldn't mean anything. Just because we are making a decision based on personal interest only, it does not necessarily imply that our actions have a negative intention. It just means we are taking care of ourselves.
We have a selfish instinct by nature, and if we add money to the equation, well, nobody can escape it. To a greater or lesser extent, we have all been corrupted by money.
Money has taken the reigns of the world. This does not mean money is a priority in our lives, but unfortunately, we are immersed in a lifestyle adapted to the current economic system in which we are wired to believe buying all those things make us free, ironically, chaining us to buy more, have more, own more
The best advantage money can give us is not having to worry about money at all.
We need to learn to control our selfish impulses based on greed and power only. Our actions should be built on a balanced reward of personal benefit without doing any harm to others.
Selfishness can help us understand the limits, but at the end of the day, it's our actions as human beings who can drive us to happiness. To happiness that cannot be bought, no matter how much we try.

Thank you for a great post, I like it :)
I think that each should first focus on his own goals but to have a bigger goal in mind. Once we clear ourselves from Ideas and Ideologies we could see who really need help, think logically and work productively as a team not to help but to solve the problem! :)
