Part 3 Of My Appalachian Trail Hike

So here is part 3 of my hike. In this section I show the long hike through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

This section was fun, brutal, and a must for everyone to do. It rained most of the time. It snowed a couple times. And there was a HUGE storm that had up to 60+ mph winds and knocked trees down and people had to be evacuated from the mountain. Luckily this storm rolled in the afternoon I actually completed the section and was walking into a hostel as it began. I waited out the storm the next 3 days.

These photos are pretty incredible. Where did you pick up this trail?

i hiked the entire trail this summer. from springer mtn ga to mount katahdin maine. 5.5 months. check out parts one and two. also have a food blog of what i ate on the trip and my final hike up katahdin posted as well the blog of my shelter setup. the rest will go up shortly.

Wow looks incredible, cracking shots. I am in the process of gathering equipment to get on more hikes around UK, not quite a impressive but thats as far as I can travel currently. Thanks for the inspirations to do this one day though !
