Green food #4 - Baked cauliflower wings
Hello dear Stemians, today in green food, I bring you a rich recipe for those who love vegetarian or vegan food, it is a delicious cauliflower wing. That can be accompanied with different contours. Like rice or mashed potatoes. Let's see what the health benefits of cauliflower are and some of the dangers of preparing this recipe with the original supply of chicken wings.
Healthy Cauliflower Benefits
Cauliflower has a pleasant taste, deliciously fresh and very crunchy. One of its best nutritional aspects is the high daily value of vitamin C offered in a single serving - an impressive 77%. Cauliflower is also a good source of vitamin K, protein, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, magnesium and phosphorus, and is a very good source of fiber, vitamin B6, folic acid, pantothenic acid, 303 milligrams of potassium, and manganese.
Cauliflower contains numerous phytonutrients, such as indol-3-carbinol and sulforaphane that may help prevent prostate, ovarian, and cervical cancer1.
Cauliflower Studies Conducted
One of the most dramatic studies that emerged in January 2012 talks about the ability of cauliflower to prevent prostate cancer when sprinkled with turmeric.2 This appears to be due to phenyl isothiocyanate, a substance that occurs naturally in certain plants. According to the study, while prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in the United States, the incidence of this disease is very low in India, where this food combination is very common.
As such, it may decrease the risk of colon and lung cancer, as well as inhibit the recurrence of prostate cancer.
Imminent Danger from Eating Chicken Wings
Fried, baked, grilled... in many ways. And although it may seem like a healthy food, even depending on the processing, chicken wings can be harmful to health depending on the industrialized chicken farming, as companies inject hormones to these animals in order to accelerate their growth and fattening, and thus make them perform more.
Chicken breeders inject growth hormones punctually into the wings and this is why precisely in this place the hormone concentration is higher. These hormones are unhealthy and are attributed to the cysts in the uterus and breasts that have developed some women. These are sensitive issues to which we must all pay attention.
As a tip, we suggest that you reduce the consumption of chicken wings and before doing so, wash this food well to reduce the risks to your health.
