Trail Review- Wickham Park MTB trail - Brevard County Florida
Wickham Park is large with many things to do. I will post those details in a separate posting and link to this one. The park has ample parking and lots of trees.
There are multiple entrances. Two reach the main park and the soccer entrance is smaller but is directly next to the trailhead(s). There is a connecting trail for access from any entrance to the MTB trails.
Some things to do:
- soccer fields
- camping.
- hiking, walking trail
- archery
- frisbee
- dog park
- playgrounds
- small lakes, RC boat clubs
- biking
- MTB biking
There are sections with palmetto roots and other fallen tree stumps that make the trails lots of fun.
It is easy to get "lost", meaning lose your direction but not to worry you can always find your way out since the actual acreage is fairly small.
The trails are dry today and I had tons of fun. It looks like the trail gnomes have been busy with some nice markings at trail heads to inform the best direction to go. Pay attention and get ready to turn all the time!
If you are in Brevard County go check out Wickham park, you can make an entire day out of it. Check out the rest of the park including the equestrian section or the far southeast hidden sidewalk trail. Oh- there is a campground. when it cools off you make camp and ride ! This would also be a perfect bikepacking destination for some training. It is nearby stores and would be a safe learning location for that.
