My entry into the Dlike Color Challenge Contest For Blue Color is this picture of the Seattle Great Wheel. I know it is white but the sky takes over so much with a distinctly solid, lightly gradient blue.

Pier 58 that the wheel was built on sits next to the Seattle Aquarium and is under the downtown skyline. The pier holds a couple of pricier restaurants with the Crab Pot being the most expensive. Anytime there is "crab" in the name it seems to be a $$$$ type of place.

I am always intrigued  by the design of such machines and I spent a fair amount of time analyzing  the various components and figuring out the way the entire thing works. It is pretty straight forward and surprisingly simple. There are motors that hold rubber wheels that contact the giant track ringing the structure. The wheels begin to rotate which in turn rotates the entire wheel around. I found looking at the wheel was enough, we didn't need to spend the $30 for the 2 of us to ride it.... I don't think the view is worth that much.
