STphotochallenge photo challenge of the week!
This beautiful bamboo forest in Kyoto is about 45 minutes from the city center. It gets quite busy during the day so we had to wake up at 4 AM to beat the crowds!
Such a nice shot! Takes some effort to get the good ones. One of my friends visited the Great Temple of Ramzes II in Egypt on one of the 2 days in the year when sun illumiates the inner chamber. She was in the chamber at 2am to beat the crowds and slept there on the floor with other tourists waiting to see the sunrise. Crazy? Maybe. Worth it? According to her, definitely! Keep it up @flip-flops-only!
Nice photo. I visited a bamboo forest in China years ago. At the first glance, I thought it's that one.
I've always wanted to go there and photograph the trees, i've see so many different angles of that place already thru pictures... they all look so amazing!
