MY MISCONCEPTIONS AS A NEWBIE ON STEEMIT @francis3600

I want to share with you some misconceptions I had as a newbie on steemit. I hope this is found useful to my fellow newbies who may have the same mindset.

I was introduced to steam it by my friend @kayduke, he taught me how to go about the basic stuff on steam it such as retrieving and storing of keys and joining communities, he also told me about the achievement tasks that should be completed to become knowledgeable about steemit as well as how I could earn tokens from the posts that I make.

However, I was so naive and was rather interested in earning tokens rather than the value and the quality of posts that I make. I thought I could just post anything anyhow, my bad.
Little did I know that, I had to apply markdowns to posts that I make.

Now after reading series of guidelines and completing some achievement tasks, I have come to realise how valuable, original and beneficial my posts should be to the people in any community that I find myself in.

I have also realise that before I post in any community that I join, I should read and understand the rules and regulations of that community.
In addition, I have learnt not to be selfish in whatever benefits I may again, that is, I should help in the progress of the communities I join and this can be in the form of donating to the community.

I also have now learnt that my post should be in the appropriate and appealing formats devoid of copy/paste without acknowledging the original authors(plagiarism). In my own opinion, I deleted some of my initial posts because I didn't post them rightly. Even though I am still learning, I am glad to have known better than before, thanks to the steemit teams.
