GUIDE YOUR MINNOWS

Hey guys so there's something that I noticed recently. A lot of people are getting registered on steemit lately, obviously because of the hike in the price of Steen and SBD. Now that's just fine if you ask me because the more the merrier but I have just one problem, They're all completely clueless about what steemit is and how to do anything on steemit and that's nobody's fault other than that of the people that told them about steemit.

These days I get a lot of people walking up to me and asking me what a "resteem" is or what "curating" means and it surprises me because most of them got invited by prominent steemians, but they failed to actually teach them how steemit works. Anybody that's been on steemit for up to a month will already know how hard steemit can be and to just drop these newbies in the mean streets of steemit and expect them to survive is just cruel.

Personally I've made up my mind not to invite anyone else to steemit until the people I've invited already are standing strong on their own. You can ask @skrippture who I told about steemit a couple of months ago, he joined up but I wasnt there when he registered or did his introduceyourself post so I couldn't explain anything to him. He's a great rapper and poet but because he didn't understand how steemit worked his account just basically became dormant, at least until I explained things and pestered the shit out of him and he decided to start posting again, and yesterday he dropped another post!!!😃😃😃. There are countless other people who I invited like @atikajayboy, @astoldbyv, @efetarhena, @paulanii, @talivet who I invited and it gives me joy to say that they're doing great on steemit, dare I say that some of them are doing better than me😅😅😅, but that's OK cause if their doing well then by extension I'm doing well. There are still a few who haven't found their feet yet, but trust me, they will or my name isn't @francistagbo!!!😤😤😤

So basically what I'm trying to say is simple, guys!!! Guide your minnows!!! I don't know where I would have been without the guidance of @ejemai, @samiwhyte and @winarobert, they guided me through my early days on steemit, and they're still guiding me as we speak.

It doesn't take anything away from you to just sit your newbies down and give them a tutorial, if you cant do it then point them in he direction of @bait002 and the minnowschool, or send them over to me, I'm always ready to teach people what I know.

Let me conclude by saying this, @ejemai once told me that steemit was created as a place for people to show and share love, so if you're just inviting people randomly and not helping them grow then you're doing the opposite of what steemit stands for, so GUIDE YOUR MINNOWS.
