Back to gym

in #sport7 years ago (edited)

Before starting off I understand clearly that I currently sound like your everyday stereotypical person or the new year new me blablabla bs, but if I say something I will do what ever possible in my powers to finish it.

So now I promised myself I would get rid of the beer belly I've been growing for about a year, I know it doesn't sound much etc and actually all my body indexes/muscle percent/fat percent is perfectly fine, I've just grown a little belly which I would love to get rid of

Okey haha, not as bad as this yet, but I will get there if I don't change the way I eat and drink.

What do I think about people who are overweight

The thing I despise the most are really people who are completely overweight, okay yes I understand if your 20-40kg over your weight, but if we're talking about 2x your normal weight or weighing near 200kg already, than that I don't understand. Unless of course there is an medical reason behind it why you are getting bigger and bigger, that I totally understand and all my prayers and respect goes out for those people. Regular people on the other hand, who just eat-eat-eat until another 10kg has added to the scale - I don't understand.

So this is one of the main reasons why I - even though I'm not like actually overweight, I currently weigh about 72kg and I'm 178cm tall. This is an pretty perfect balance between those two, but I have a beer belly which I want to get rid of.

What and where

They recently opened an 24/7 fitness sports club in Estonia, actually 4 of them if I'm not incorrect and I like the idea of training whenever getting in the mood. I bought the full month package so I can visit the gym as many days there are in one calendar month maximum once a day. It was also pretty cheap so I'm not even feeling sad for it. Today was my first day and I spent over 2 hours actually training, what I'm concerning right now is Full Body Workout, I actually downloaded some app that had some pretty good things, but there were quite a few people there in the evening so I didn't want to wait that long to get on some machine so I created something my own, I did everything, legs, back, chest, hands, shoulders - everything and before I knew, 2 hours had gone past, after what I decided it's time to stop.

How often

My plan is to try and fit in 3 to 4 workout per weeks, I understand that 4 may be really hard and tiresome, but if I want the best results as soon as possible that may be the way to go. I do understand that muscles need refreshing and relaxing also, which is why the full body workout isn't good actually, because most of the muscles get equal amount of work, meaning that if I would go back to the gym ~tomorrow my muscles aren't fully recovered yet.

Summary

I've been to gym for only one day currently and I feel actually amazing, besides the pain in all the muscles haha. I really see myself continue doing this, getting rid of my belly, and who knows maybe even develop some actual showing abs :P.
I look forward for my next session and who knows, maybe I will even post some result pictures in a few months when something actually has changed.
