Chronicles of a desolation; A deadly blow
It had only been a few days since I woke up. All this desolation was beginning to make sense to me. However, my supplies were already beginning to run low. I had to find a way to restore it, especially if I wanted to go out in search of my family.
I remember a few miles from my house was one of the biggest markets in town. This would be the first time I've traveled this far since I woke up. But it was of vital importance and this journey should find as much information as possible. I had to focus on this mission.
Without the slightest possibility of starting some of the cars left near my house, I start the walk to my goal, I knew that it would take me only a couple of hours to go and come back.
The sun was barely rising when I decided to go out. With a firm step and little luggage I managed to see how everything around me has changed, some houses seem to have completely collapsed, perhaps a better term would be torn off. The vegetation seems to have been affected by a lot, whatever happened here was certainly something beyond the known.
The whole sky was beginning to cloud over me. As I walked I saw many dead animals around me, the scene was sometimes depressing and certainly frightening.
On several occasions while walking I thought of turning back. But I knew that if I did, then my death would have a set day. Finally, after a great psychological struggle with my environment, I found something much more frightening and totally disconcerting. I had reached the end of the road. On my forehead was a large ravine of such depth that while looking at it one could easily lose sight of it in the distance. There was no visible way from one end to the other to get to the other side which, with much effort, one could hardly see. It was as if the other side of the road had disappeared, as if a tremor of catastrophic magnitude had taken this large expanse of plate surface into the depths. In my attempt to assimilate it, I knelt with great concern with my hands on my head on the ground. What happened here?
