Report from the shallows. #11
Well, here we are again.
Still bringing attention to the fact that 10 accounts take 1 of every 4 rewards and lavish them on their favorites.
Total: 27.84% source
This time it's not just me, I brought back up.

It's not like the top 50 influencers aren't aware of what is happening here.
Their attitude seems to be to buy into the reward pool rape to line their own pockets and screw the nobodies that complain.
They take what they can, while they can.
They really don't have any reason to care, most of them have cashed out plenty already to compensate themselves for their efforts here.
And, honestly, they know that no matter what they do there will always be a core group of steemizens willing to suffer any abuse to continue the dream of what steem could be if the greed didn't make it something else entirely.
Those ignorant souls that froth at the idea of getting a ned vote or delegation are not aware that ned's influence on the reward pool takes value from ALL other votes to give what it gives to those select few.
That delegation that you rent from blocktrades, et al, makes the game unattractive to literally thousands of newbs, while making easy money for minnowbooster and the other gangs.
As long as the largest sp holders use their advantage in the math, the smallest among us have literally no chance at building rewards.
This fact is exacerbated by the rise in steem price.
Higher steem price equals smaller sp payouts.
I would have put a screenshot of blocktrade's delegations, but there are literally scores of them. You will have to go to steemworld.org and look in delegations out, for yourself.
If you can't figure out why your post only gets a few pennies you can lay a lot of that at the feet of those accounts that pay to rent the wealth of the accounts that want to be paid for contributing nothing.
I get wanting to make the platform attractive to folks, but doing it in a way that turns more folks off is not how to do it, if you ask me.
I get that to attract large influencers from other platforms some way for them to become noticed is needed.
I literally don't care that that utube dude is here with his 5m viewers, but I did get notice of it on the trending page.
I even wasted ten minutes of my life to find out that I would have rather not known.
Do we really want to appeal to morons?
I don't think favoring folks that have literally contributed nothing with outsized rewards that they haven't earned from the actual daily users is the way to do it.
Neither do I think that allowing folks to buy their rewards makes the platform attractive to everyday users.
Bought friendship is not real friendship.
You get that by being real.
Artificial pumps to attract attention isn't going to be sustainable.
Those folks are gonna cashout once their most favored status is gone.
If you want rewards from the reward pool, put out 'good' content, comment on other author's posts, gather a real following and not one just scrounging for upvotes.
If you are one of the large accounts, stop cutting your own throats by trying to buy your friends, eh?
We are a welcoming lot here, just come in, pull up a chair, and be real with us.
Have a perfectly peaceful day.
Keep working, stop paying. No war, but the class war!!
It's not going to stop until we get there & stop it ourselves. I'm sure we will when we get there. It is transparent at least you have shown that by bringing it to light, we can see they are cheating the platform so others can see it as well. The force of light will overcome the darkside, keep using the force!!
Right, once enough of us make it to dolphin status our votes will dilute the strength of the still voting whales and spread the rewards down, I hope.
The distribution is so top heavy that 75% of the sp doesn't vote, if it did we couldn't get pennies, even more would go to the top.
From a small seed a might trunk may grow one day. Yes being real is the right thing.
Well, when they cash out, the king is dead...long live the king.
Can't happen soon enough.
It will have to happen before dan makes a copy on eos, or there will be a giant sucking sound of folks migrating from the rape here.
There is a smell of change, you just aint seen it yet bro, catch me on discord tomorrow for more info, as this will require your help also.
Ok,...
go on there now, I am on
absolutely, one day I will learn how to become a whale!!
Good luck, the higher the price of steem the harder the climb.
Whose attention would make a difference on this?
It's really a community thing.
Smooth and Abit ran the whale experiment until the hardfork put an end to it.
We, as a community, need to stop fawning on the folks with the money.
Instead of looking to Ned, and the others, to give out big votes we just need to build our own followings and our rewards will grow as the community does.
It would probably help to educate folks on who big votes take money away from.
Do you think that people could use that knowledge to try and justify voting on their own comments or some other means to try and get more of a share of the rewards pool?
The problem is human nature, but the system was designed to facilitate unfairness. It's interesting to see the have-nots pander to the haves.
The unequal nature of the platform is inherent in it's manufacture.
They had to assure themselves sufficient stake to prevent attackers from crashing the platform.
They don't have to play their stake the way that they do, but this is the nature of the beast.
As time goes on the distribution will equalize and smaller players will have more incentive to play.
For the immediate future the best we can do is point out that vote buying/selling is reward pool rape no matter who and how many do it.
The sellers profit without contributing and the buyers contribute without profiting.
It really is just running them on a treadmill to make money for the folks that already have most of it.
You can see from this post that the redistribution from the top to the bottom is occurring, albeit slowly.
