According to San Francisco Police Officer Adam Lossinger, police were called to a business near Tendragon on March 30 and arrested the suspect, Darrell Hunter, 45.

The woman who called the police recalled that Hunter had entered the bakery on March 28 and threatened to "shoot the Chinese. This was the third day in a row that Hunter had entered the store and caused a disturbance. On March 30, Hunter came back to the bakery and threatened to shoot her with a gesture of his hand. The woman again called police. Police then arrested him a few blocks away.

Hunter was on probation after reportedly vandalizing public property four times in a two-week period in 2018, shouting racial slogans as well as damaging restaurant furniture. Hunter is currently charged with three counts of criminal threats, two counts of burglary, stalking, probation violation and a hate crime.
