Daily Thoughts - 26 Jan 18 - Homesteading Today...

Hello my fellow Steemians! :D

We’ve got sunshine again today, but its not throwing off any heat, which is sad because its so bright it should be throwing a lot of heat. :D

Every time I see the boys, Buddy (left) and Joker (right) standing side by side, like this morning while they were eating their oats, I’m surprised by how much taller Joker is. He’s a good seven or eight inches taller, maybe a bit more, than Buddy but they are the same age and were almost the same height when we first got them. They are both Holstein’s, but I think Buddy is also part angus, which might account for the height difference. They are both cute as a button when they are playing together outside. I’ve got to get working on editing some more videos and load them, so I can share them with everyone. :D

Its going to be a quiet day here on the homestead. Its too cold for the herd to be outside today again, so we’ll all be staying inside out of the wind as much as possible today. I think it’ll be a Netflix watching day…maybe I’ll start the new season of “Frankie and Grace” or “One Day at A Time”. :D Both are wonderful shows that make me laugh every episode. Have you watched either show? What do you think of them? :D

The chickens were all very talkative tonight. I opened their door to see why and they all froze in place. LOL. :D They didn’t move the whole time I was standing there. I took this picture and closed the door to their coop and started to walk out of the barn and they started squawking again, silly chickens. :D

Princess was in an alternate between oats, hay, and water mood tonight. She usually eats her oats, then drinks her water, and then starts on her hay as I’m collecting everyone’s dishes and water buckets. :D

Its Friday night, you know what that means on our homestead right? Pizza for supper! :D

Here’s the meat lovers pizza that my husband and our son enjoy. :D

Pepperoni with extra cheese for me. :D I only eat one piece when I cut them this big, but that just means there are left overs for my son to eat for lunch. :D

As I spread dirt/sand on the driveway to make it safer and easier to get up and down the sun is starting to set. Hopefully I’m going to get some nice pictures to share and post. :D
