#ULOG 529 - Daily Thoughts - 15 Nov 18 - Homesteading Today...

Good Morning, Steemians! :D

We’ve got less wind than yesterday and sunshine, YAY! :D Its going to be a great day. :D

Today’s going to be a busy and mostly unproductive day for me around the homestead. :D I’ve got to get out to Perth for a doctor’s appointment and that will eat up at least 4 hours of my day because its 75 minutes one way, waiting room and appointment room waiting times and then another 75 minutes home again, oh joy. :D Then I’ve got to stop at the grocery store in Woodstock to get a few things just in case the big storm that’s called for comes tomorrow. :D

After I get home, I’ll have to go muck out the barn, fill the hay feeders, dish out the herd’s oats, get the herd into their spots in the barn, wait for everyone to finish their oats so I can collect their dishes, and then I’ll have to get inside to get supper ready, oh my. :D Before I go though, I’ve got to charge the battery for my car and while that’s being done a quick visit to the outdoors for our handsome grand-puppies Tiny (1) and Shadow (2), their beautiful mom Karma (3) and lovely sisters Mya (4) and Lady (5). :D

Their dapper dad Dakota was also outside with them, but he was too far over to get in the same picture, he’s watching a bird coming towards the yard, there was much excited barking just after I click this peaceful moment. :D

My handsome husband was wonderful to me this morning, he fed the herd their breakfast hay so that I could get some sleep before I had to go to my appointment because I slept badly last night. :D Belle (1) and Leroy (2) were snacking on the leftovers from breakfast when I was leaving for Perth. :D

Well I made it here safely, now its time to play the first round of the waiting game. :D Okay my doctor’s over an hour behind schedule, thankfully I’ve got loads of distractions, err, I mean games on my phone. :D

Okay I’ve made it into the examination/appointment room, now begins the last round of the waiting game. :D

I’m done at the doctor’s office, now heading to Woodstock to pick up a few groceries, and hopefully I’ll remember to fill my gas tank while I’m in town. :D I had my camera sitting on the dash and just shouted “cheese” to get it to take pictures as I was driving, not sure if I’d get anything clear at all, but this one of the Saint John River with that top layer of ice, the first of this winter, in the background turned out pretty good. :D

I’m so glad that this one came out clear, I love those trees, their branches looking so pretty covered in snow. :D

I don’t have any idea where this tree lot was, but I passed it coming home, look at how almost perfectly aligned and equal in size those trees are, their planting crew did a good job. :D

I’ve made it safely home, groceries in tow, and Buddy (1), Joker (2), Leroy (3), Belle (4), and Princess (5) quickly reminded me that supper time was quickly approaching as soon as I opened my car door. :D I told them they had to wait until I got the groceries into the house, the puppies and grand-puppies out, put my barn clothes on and cleaned the barn that I didn’t clean this morning, (thinking I’d be back around 1300 hours, boy was I wrong about that), and getting their hay and oats in their spots before I could let them into the barn, they weren’t impressed with my response though, LOL. :D

Okay, the groceries are in the house, our dapper puppy dad Dakota, his lovely daughters Mya (2) and Lady (3), his handsome sons Tiny (4) and Shadow (6), and their pretty puppy mom Karma (5) are all outside to wear off some energy while I clean the barn, bring over the hay, and dish out the oats. :D

I’ve got the barn cleaned, the hay and oats are all in their proper places, now its time to put the hay wagon/cart back and get Joker (1), Buddy (2), Belle (3), Leroy (4), and Princess (5) settled into their spots for the night. :D

As you can see by this picture, the herd beat me up to the barn. :D
