Good Morning, Steemians! :D

Belle (1) and Candy (2) grazing in the front pasture as the sun rises behind them. :D

Belle and Candy head wrestling in the front pasture this morning. :D

Princess wanted to graze more than she wanted to play. :D

Princess using one of our trees to scratch her scalp/horns. :D The black flies, mosquitoes, and horseflies were on the warpath this morning, poor Princess is one of their favorite targets. I know exactly how she feels because they love me too, oh joy, LOL. :D

Belle (1), Leroy (2), Joker (3), and Buddy (4) grazing as the sun rises over the house to bathe the backyard pastures in golden sunshine. :D As you can see (in the foreground) the rain has really given our little garden beds a boost in their growth. :D

Its a busy day on the homestead. :D First we (the royal we, because my handsome husband did all the work) did the morning chores. Here’s my husband bringing out the new salt lick after letting the chickens out. :D I’m grateful he was around to bring out the new salt lick because it was too heavy for me. :D

Bruticus our old rooster got some new coop mates this morning. :D My husband and I brought them over two at a time, they are still pretty soft and they let me cuddle them on the way over, which was a nice treat for me. :D

Princess (1) and Candy (2) waiting very impatiently for Belle’s milking to end and for her to rejoin them. I tried to distract them, and it worked for a bit as we took a short walk, but it didn’t take them long to head back to the barn door. :D

On the road to go pick up and bring home our new piglets. :D

Crossing the bridge into Woodstock, NB, only a few more minutes until we get our new piglets. :D

Here they are, our new boys, Joel (1) and Billy (2). :D Aren’t they adorable, I love their blue eyes. :D

The boys Joel (1) and Billy (2) are settling in for the ride to their new home. :D

Joel (1) and Billy (2) have arrived at and are inspecting their new home. :D

Our handsome boys Billy (1) and Joel (2) enjoying their breakfast of hog grower mash and fresh cow’s milk, courtesy of Belle, with a couple of eggs thrown in from the chickens as an added treat and welcome to our homestead present. :D

After we got Billy (1) and Joel (2) (who seems to have a habit of stepping in multiple dishes at one time whenever possible) settled in we had to get oats from our farmer friend down the hill return home and get them stored. :D Then we headed back out on the road to get rid of the old dog fencing at the local scrap yard. Once we got that offloaded, with only one slight scratch on me, we headed home to relax for the rest of the day, until evening chores and milking time that is. :D It was a busy day with a lot of up and down the road, (thankfully with air conditioning because it was warm and muggy out there,) but it was very productive and we got new piglets to enjoy for the summer, YAY! :D

Look at that handsome face, Buddy came over for a good chin scratch while I was refilling the water tub. :D

I told him he was handsome and he came even closer, a bit too close, LOL. :D

The horseflies, black flies, regular flies, and other bugs were all feasting on poor Candy this afternoon. She took a few with her tail, but their numbers were too many and she eventually just surrendered to the least annoying of them and swatted at the rest with her tail. :D

The chickens are using their little outside shelter for shade, but I’m betting its not much cooler under there than it is out here. :D

Princess was using the corner of the chicken run as her scratching post until I moved her back and started scratching her chin for her. :D

Joel (1) and Billy (2) were having a bit of fun spreading the hay/straw around in their stall when I went to check on them and the chicks this afternoon. :D They don’t seem to be having any issues with the move to a new home, thankfully. :D

Our new boys, Billy (1) and Joel (2) settling down for the night with very full bellies and hopefully sweet dreams of all the wonderful new adventures they’ll have while they’re here. :D
