Embark on a new journey

It is never easy when we decide to start a new journey.

It can be changing of career, shifting to a new place and many more.

Very often, the need to start a new journey is an opportunity for future growth.

I have been in steem platform for slightly over a year and it is where I have started and I am still posting daily.

I am also supporting many content creators with my little upvotes daily.

I have recently decided to start a new journey with weku and whaleshares.

I am like going back to when I first started on steem platform as I embark my new journey on weku and whaleshares.

There my new journey, I hope to create new opportunities.

Get to know us

When we start on a new journey, it takes time for people to know us.

Even if we have the best skill or expertise in the field, they may not know unless you are always on the news.

There is always the need for communication and interaction with people to know us better.

We must also let our actions speak loudly than our words.

There are many boastful people who may brag about how good they are but when they need to perform, they are way below what they describe.

Let our actions speak loudly and let others recognise us for who we are rather than what we say we are.

Fear

I must admit, everyone can have fear when the future is unknown.

We are not God so we cannot predict the success of each new embarkment.

Fear is an obstacle for changes in our lives but the courage to change often brings new opportunities.

We must therefore overcome fear and step into the unknown even if there is a chance that we may fail.

Our fear often comes because of the possibility of failure.

When a failure is taken as a learning experience, we are still successful when we fail because we have learnt a valuable lesson and gain experience that money can never buy.

Unfit

When we embark on a new journey, we may also be placed in roles that cannot showcase our true potential.

My present school is not my first school. When I first started in the present school, I was given English, Mathematics and double Science subjects to teach.

Even though, I was an experienced teacher but the subject combination was tough to keep up especially the heavy load of marking since there are lots of worksheets for reinforcement beside the workbooks.

Gradually, the school is able to identify my strength and I am placed solely specialising in teaching Mathematics now.

We can often be in unwanted situation and start to complain but we must catch ourselves and just do what is necessary.

By having the right attitude, we can find success in what we do even if we are placed at the wrong roles.

I often tell others that I would do my best even though I may not have done a certain task before.

Reputation

When people start to know us, they may start to form their own perception of us.

Wrong perception can often arise when we accidentally say the wrong words without considering prudently.

The moment this happens, rumours leading to the spread of negative impression starts to formulate by others about us.

It is always good to be careful and start it right especially in what we say since the people around us do not know us well enough.

Even if there is negative rumour, we must let our actions prove it to be wrong but it may take months or even years.

Building a good reputation can ensure many other opportunities and support.

In conclusion

We must not always stay at our comfort zone as accelerated growth often comes with us stepping out in faith.

We can find new opportunities and enrich ourselves with new knowledge when we choose to step out.

Change is never easy for anyone but change brings positive growth in us.
