Feeling cold? Fundition has some ideas what to do...

Brrrr... It has gotten quite chilly outside, at least when it comes to Europe and we have taken out our mittens, hats, and scarfs out of the closets. How about you? What is the weather like at your place? We would love to hear from you and how you are dealing with these minus degrees. This post will be about how we are dealing with it and besides, is there a better way to make the last post of the month than by making it about something happy?

Winter is a lovely time and like any other time of year, it has its good and bad sides. Instead of being upset about those things that are troubling you, why not focus on all those that make you happy? Have you noticed how everything slows down a bit? The mood of people gets better too, more family oriented and more joyful. We gather in our warm houses and spend more time with each other. Cherish that time.

If you are lucky enough to live in a country that gets snow in the winter than you understand our enthusiasm. When we were children, there was no greater joy than sliding down that hill, building a snowman or just simply throwing snowballs at each other. We were happy and running around with a huge smile. You had to make us come inside almost by force. Now that we are older, maybe those activities are not that often enjoyed but they still are enjoyed when they do happen. They still bring out the smile. Here is the list of things we still love to do:

  • building snowmen that look like people we know
  • making snow angels
  • throwing snowballs
  • walking and leaving footprints in fresh fallen snow
  • sledding really fast trying not to hit a tree
  • skating with our friends
    ... and many more

How about you?
What are your favorite outdoor winter activities

Another great way to spend your winter time are various Advent festivals that are taking place in big cities. They have great food, concerts, Santa Claus walking around and many places with affordable presents to buy. Everything is full of little lights and decorations and everyone greets you with a smile and opened arms. There is a special treat we have in Europe, mulled wine. It is cooked wine with cloves and other spices. Do you have that in your country? Do you maybe have some other customary drink or food that you usually eat during this time? Common Americans, tell us about your eggnog! Most of us in Europe have never tried it. We would love to hear about winter meals from Asia or India, from wherever you are.

After we are done with fun outside, it is time to move that fun inside, close to some fire or at least something as warm as fire. Cookies, cakes, hot chocolate, and even hotter hugs. Ups... We meant warm hugs. Ok, maybe we didn't. Most babies are born in September so you do the math. Indoor activities are plentiful and it is simply impossible for you to get bored, here is what Fundition recommends:

  • board games, there are a lot of fun ones on the market
  • making little cakes and cookies in varies shapes
  • curling under a warm blanket with a briliant book (do you have any good recomendations?)
  • dancing and singing
  • decorating
  • creating amazing DIY projects
  • drinking hot spiced cocoa
  • bing-watching your favorite shows
    ...and many more

How about you?
What do you do?

Do you have some traditions that you never miss during this time? Is something special to you? We would love to hear all about it. Is there a good book you would like to recommend to others, a movie maybe or a show? We have some in mind but are always open to new suggestions. If you have not tried playing Codenames Pictures yet, please do. It is simply amazing, will get you contemplating, connecting, and finding out how your partner thinks. It is all about associations and combinatorics. If you love intrigue and spycraft, it is perfect for you.

Awwww.... Our favorite activities. Time spend on Fundition is always a time well spent. There is so much you can do. We recommend that you go over our previous published posts and learn all about how you can create the best possible project proposal. You can also check out our promotional posts where we present you with different projects we think you should take a look at. They all deserve your attention. There is always someone in discord to keep you company when you are lonely. If you have not read our purple paper, that is a good thing to do oh and of course, the most important thing of all...
