My Contribution for SteemMakers Logo [updated]
Hi Guys!
I'm glad to present to you my latest contribution, this time it's going to be for SteemMakers. The mission of @jefpatat "SteemMakers" really inspire me to be part of its progress and development. It will be very helpful for Steemians to have a central hub for outstanding content.
Tools
The tools that is used are Autocad for the outline and initial draft of the logo, 3D Studio Max to create the 3d form, and Lightroom for the finishing touches.
The Final Logo
The overall impression of the logo resembles a "Fire". It consist of "blue" & "orange" flame. The blue represents the Steemit blockchain which also represents "integrity" while the orange flame represents the passion of SteemMakers team. Without further ado, I present to you my proposed logo.
The Workflow
My workflow begins on creating the draft of the logo using Autocad, this may not be common for everyone, but I feel comfortable working on this software.
Next is to import the pattern or outline to 3D Studio max to create the 3d form of the logo.
I started modelling the blue flames using simple plane and follow the shape of the individual flames.
Below is the result of the shape when converted to its 3d form.
Using the same method, I continued creating the other shapes of flames.
Below is the result of the 3d flames.
After completing the flames, I created the "SteemMakers" text and converted it to 3d form.
And then the exciting part are the colors, I decided to go for the complimentary colors, blue and orange. For the surface, I went for the metallic surface to give it a modern look. Once again, below is the final look of the logo.

additional suggestions:
it would be better if you can render the logo bigger for a higher quality, an additional flat logo in vector format would be nice too.

STOPHave you seen the feedback and update SteemMakers gave? It doesn't really fit the flat design idea.

Thanks bro. About the file, i created a flat version of the logo in PSD file.
psd files cont as vector only if the design is still as shapes, they where flatten layers when I checked
