Nearby condo completely clears out - Bring the noise!
The area that I live in has heavy levels of construction going on right now. There are 3 builds that I can see from my balcony, and just around one corner there are 3 giant builds going on, big enough to need giant cranes, and around another corner there are 4 smaller jobs going on in some small side street. Basically, anywhere that they can build something, they are building it.
I was kind of hopful that as these jobs get closer to completion that we might be getting close to some sort of reprieve where they will be done and there is simply nothing left to build on. But then I was walking down the the street and I saw this

This is a condo building in the neighborhood that has been here for a very long time. They were taking all the furniture out and putting it on trucks and taking it away.
No worries right, because maybe they are just redoing the interior, but then I saw that they were taking all the air con compressors away as well.

Then I looked up and saw that they were taking away all of the window frames as well.
it's starting to look like this building is going to get demolished.

Something that doesn't make sense is that on the other side of the building there is something rather artistic that some of the men have been working on. Why go to this trouble on a building that you are just going to gut?
At this point I am still holding out a bit of hope that maybe they are just doing a complete overhaul of the building such as repainting, new doors and windows, just a new look for the entire building but when they take away the air con units and even the piping associated with the AC units? I think something far more widespread and much more loud is what awaits us in the near future.
Just when I thought this neighborhood couldn't get any louder, it appears as though the are going to tear a building down. I've seen this happen before, it isn't like in other countries where some explosives are set off and it falls down in one nice piece. Oh no. This is going to be dudes with hand tools working for months on removing it piece by piece over the course of a very long period of time. FFS.
