In the vast world of video games there are titles that are very common which are played by a large part of the community, however, digging a little bit into certain genres, you can find video games that are a little strange, with some quite rare themes, but for some reason at the time of playing them, they are very good because of different factors that make them addictive.

This will depend on the developer who programs it, generally they are independent companies who do not look for much fame within the industry, rather they want to develop their ideas forming a rare game, but conserving a good playability to call the attention of the players.

Do you remember The House of the Dead? It was an arcade game in which you had to kill hordes of zombies with a pair of guns, in turn eliminating a boss for each level. There were several sequels to this game, but the most curious one was The Typing of the Dead.

Your main weapon was no longer two guns, here you had to write as fast as possible the words that were next to the zombies, the faster you did it the more points and combos you accumulated. In the bosses were really long and funny sentences, in conclusion, a video game that will help you to type faster with your keyboard.

There are hundreds of video games of the puzzle genre which are usually somewhat unknown, often it is because of its theme that is not to the liking of many gamers. Within these games we can find a very curious one that at first sight will seem very strange, but when playing it we will spend a few hours in front of the console, it is Catherine.

It is a peculiar game where we handle a character who is "in love" with two girls, for some reason at bedtime has some very strange dreams where he is chased by a giant baby which wants to devour him. To avoid this fate he must solve certain puzzles while climbing a kind of giant ladder. If he dies in his sleep he will also die in real life.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch

Finally, we will have this strange video game that you probably won't find any sense, but it's great fun to spend some time playing it, it's about Octopus: Dadliest Catch, a title where the main character is an octopus which "mysteriously" has a family with a human one and must camouflage itself among humans to survive.

What makes this game interesting is that any simple task, such as making a coffee, becomes an extreme nightmare because of how complicated it is to manipulate the octopus. This was done on purpose, as it is not a human with normal limbs. In many occasions this video game will make you laugh because of the strange way the character moves.
