Art Explosion Contest Week 63: Death

Whenever someone talks about death, I often feel bad about it because in the past I have experienced the pangs of death. I think I shared about it a couple of times over my previous blogs that is why at this moment, I really do not want to talk about the death of a loved one, any person in particular, or a group of person who suffered from it.

Talking death in a different manner
As you are going to watch the video, I have interpreted death in a different manner. I want to give emphasis on the death of our surroundings. I have painted dandelions first because although small, they were able to contribute to us. Other flowers were able to contribute to us as well. After that I covered the flowers with something else. I painted trees which are really essential to everyone of us. By painting trees and the other essential surroundings, I hope I would be able to deliver messages on how important it is.

Art Process

If you are going to watch the video carefully, I painted my new brought pencil case with acrylic. I used brown first for its background. I really used it to represent that life on earth is dull without the existence of our green environment. And then I started painting dandelions and grasses with different available acrylic colors. After seeing it dry, I replaced the dandelions with trees and then made the background blue to have harmony with the colors.

I do hope that through this artwork and future artworks, I would be able to share to a larger audience the importance of our environment before it becomes to late for us to make important actions.

Before I forget, I used filmora to create this video. Instead of having a long video to watch, I decided to use the time lapse mode of my new Oppo F11 Pro phone.
