World Travel Festing...

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Here we are WTF'ing at the World Travel Fest! As things hot up outside to 37 degrees we're nice and cool inside the Adelaide Convention Centre and enjoying the feeling of holiday planning! We're here to learn more about New Zealand which is where we are taking Faith,'s mum once she has the all clear from cancer later this year. We are also gathering information on parts of Europe we plan to visit in 2020...Maybe a spot near you?

So far we have had a couple of great conversations with some exhibitors who represent regions we are interested in and have gathered some useful information. This is a different experience for us as we usually do not plan holidays in this way preferring to go it alone and use the interwebs for our research. Having said that though, we've gained a lot from it and talking to experts has thrown some light on a few things we were unsure of.

We always make our own mind up when it comes to our holidays; Travelling from Australia to Europe is pretty costly so we need to feel like we are taking our own holiday and not one designed by someone else however its always great to have some insider information right? We prefer to balance some of the popular, more touritsty, things with a few special experiences that most may not want to do or know they can do. An example is the World War One battlefield tour we did in France/Belgium, or the tour of the Ferrari, Ducati and Lamborghini factory's in Italy or the Ice Caves in Werfen, Austria. Plus many, many others. Tourist things yes, but things many may never take the time to do.

Anyway, I had better get back to WTF'ing rather than posting...Have a great Sunday all!

Looks like plenty of great options! The experiences you have had are a great foundation to consider building a new one wherever you will go. Enjoy!

It was a pretty good show to be honest. Free coffee and even scored a free massage! We took a mountain of magazines and are browsing through them now.
