Well... Here are some of my thoguhts on protein.
If you are an active adult, then you should be getting more protein based on your activity.
If you are highly active, then protein is necessary to help you recover and build muscle and maintain a healthy physique and body.
So many people are way under their protein intakes. I've never personally had any problem whatsoever when it comes to getting my daily protein in!
