A Chance To Join BioWare
"The world fears the inevitable plummet into the abyss. Watch for that moment and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap. It is only when you fall that you learn whether you can fly."-Flemeth
I believe we all already know BioWare, the developer who created Dragon Age series that we have enjoyed since 2009. The last series, Dragon Age: Inquisition was released back in November 2014, winning 21 Game of the Year awards and was the most enjoyed game at launch. Since then, as far as I know BioWare hasn't mention anything about the sequel to the series until now.
Anyway, brace yourself for some good news, especially those who has a dream of becoming a video game developer. Right now that the sequel of Dragon Age: Inquisition is in development, series creative director Mike Laidlaw confirmed that BioWare's Dragon Age team is currently hiring a lot of people. This would suggest that the game's development is ramping up. Wouldn't it be awesome to be involved in this great game? No? Okay, cool.
Though there hasn't been any official accouncement about it yet, Alexis Kennedy, former writer for Sunless Sea confirmed to Eurogamer that the next Dragon Age game is in development. Also, Mike Laidlaw said "something is happening with Dragon Age" on The 1099 Podcast (skip to 57th minute for Mike's remarks about Dragon Age).
If that is not enough to prove that the game is on the way, then maybe you can try to join the team to find out yourself? (I'm not mad at you, I'm mad because I can't join any team due to my potato-level 3D modeling skill *cry in the corner*)
So if there is any of you here interested to join BioWare and sit among those experts creating wonderful virtual world, this could be your chance. And for those who already work as a game developer.. Designer, writer, or any other role in video game industry for a living, you better loved it. I envy you, and I wish you all the best for you and your career. Stay awesome!
