LOCKDOWN eating and drinking....continued....
THe cooking, eating, drinking continues. THank goodness landscapers are considered 'essential' in this downturn - I've been able to work with our little 4-person crew, outside....keeps me sane.
HOWEVER, just found out some a**hole we were speaking to at a client's property last week came down with the virus 4 days later (his wife had it! what was he doing out?!), so now I need XANAX and fast. sheesh. We will suspend working for 10 days.
In the meantime, here is just a 'taste' of the goings-on in the gardenfamily kitchen. THank goodness for my youngest gardendaughter- drinks and baking bread and making good dinners has been a wonderful outlet.
COCKTAILS....
Here's one called "Orangeyougladyouredrinkingthis". It's made with bourbon and fresh oj and some cointreau.
THis one below....we called it "givemethatrightawayineedit" (sluuuuurp!) It's tequilla with fresh squeezed lime and orange and a splash of simple syrup. Notice the enormous bottle of tequilla in the background gardenhusband purchased. Prob won't last long ;0)
DINNER
Last week we made homemade pizza dough and cooked up some amaze-balls toppings
The result....
Last night was carnitas with homemade tortillas, pineapple salsa, marinated red onion, avacados, lime. Whole dinner was gluten-free/dairy-free and was incredible.
THat's it. That's all I got for now.
Happy lockdown (is that possible?) and as always, happy gardening!
I see how you are coping with covid. Good idea.
HOpe you are fortunate enough not to have caught anything bad.
cross fingers.
