Dino eggs were spotted too.
Not all of them, but at least the arm the evolved into birds.
Up till now it was thought that only birds had coloured eggs. Snakes, lizards, crocodiles, in fact all current living reptiles
all have plain white eggs.
Birds, on the other hand, not only have eggs with colour, but speckles and blotches too.
According to a paper published in the journal nature:
A recent study has demonstrated the presence of both red-brown protoporphyrin IX and blue-green biliverdin—the pigments responsible for all the variation in avian egg colour—in fossilized eggshell of a nonavian dinosaur.
