The first fruits of a bitter harvest
Seems like the looting and burning has toned down a little. We can only hope.
What we may be seeing emerging is the first inklings of what a continued focus on identity and grievance politics will spawn. Where group identity is accentuated over communal unity and inequalities are emphasized to create a sence of victimhood.
A divided society is not a lastingly stable society. A well functioning society needs some unifying cause to rally around to keep it together.
