Using Litecoin as an Exchange Option for Steemit

in #blocktrades7 years ago

I followed a suggestion made by @everittdmickey and this time I used blocktrades to exchange my available Steem coins to Litecoin as the guy who buys Bitcoin from me here in Honduras told me he was also interested in buying Lite coin and Ethereum.

Well I did some research and I could get slightly more by exchanging them to Litecoin, well I did it this afternoon as usual the Blocktrades part ran very smoothly and the LTC was sent almost instantly, but then I had to see how it went at the other end.

Last time I sent Bitcoin the transaction took about three days, yes it was less than $200.00 which is probably the reason it took so long, and on top of that I had to pay Blocktrade fees, Localbitcoin fees and I guess the Bitcoin network also takes out a fee, just too much money so I really was looking for a cheaper and faster way to exchange my Steem.

Remember I live in Honduras and frankly crypto currency hasn't caught on here, I don't think many people even know about it, so I have to look for alternate ways to get my money here, up to now using Litecoin, Blocktrades and sending it directly to this guy's wallet, who lives in San Pedro Sula the second largest city in Honduras, is the fastest and most practical way I have found of getting the money into my hands. And yes I contacted the guy and he got the LTC real fast, and has already paid me. So I think this is a very good option, faster and lower fees and the only intermediary is Blocktrades.us.

Yes, the Bitcoin fees eating a huge part of small transactions. Try to get this guy a steemit account, to have is even faster and less transactions costs...

You know I once posted an article asking if anyone was interested in buying Steem directly from me, in exchange for Fiat, but I got no answer.

Hey, cool idea. Do you still want to sell some steem?!? I might be interested whenever the price is cheap again.

Right now I don't have enough to sell.
