The Dairy Game (22/03/2025) My Saturday Of Self Determination

I believe you're all having a wonderful Sunday. I'm geegirl, from @nigeria, and I'm here to share with you how I spent my Saturday.
I woke up at 7:45 a m, not feeling my very best. Even so, after saying my morning devotion, I felt very weak. Despite having a lot to do for the day, I wasn't feeling strong enough to do anything, so I had to rest more.
By 9:10 am, I woke up again, feeling more determined in my spirit. I reminded myself that with God's help and strength, I can overcome any challenge and face the day. I started my day by making my bed, and tidying up my room neatly. While doing so I was sweating and i was feeling strength.
After that, I headed to the bathroom to took a shower, dressed up and then stepped out to Udi street by Ikot ekpene road to get some sewing materials. After that, I worked on weaving some cloth.
When I returned home, I was feeling very hungry and stressed up due to the harsh weather. I entered the house, took a refreshing bath and then headed to the kitchen to prepare jollof rice.
Ingredients I used in cooking the jollof rice
- fish
- Groundnut oil
- Onion
- Tomato
- Maggi
- Salt
- fresh pepper
- Stockfish
- crayfish
Cooking method
- I measured a certain cup of rice into the pot, add water and brought to the fire to parboil the rice and I thoroughly washed the rice until the water get cleaned to remove excess starch and then set it aside.
- Heat groundnut oil in a pot over medium heat and then I added salt, onion, tomato, and Maggi. Cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the parboiled rice, mixed it well making sure each grain is coated with the tomato sauce.
- Add pounded fresh pepper with crayfish, stockfish, Maggi, and water. Stir thoroughly and taste to adjust seasoning.
- Allow the mixture to boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it cook for about 45 minutes, and then garnish fresh green onion to the cooked rice. Delicious jollof rice is served.
When I was done cooking, I quickly dish the rice as it's hot and keep, rushed into the bathroom and refreshed first before enjoying the delicious rice.
After enjoying my jollof rice, I got dressed and headed to Ikot Ekpene to visit my sister.
Unfortunately, on my way its was rainy heavily and the weather was so cold, so when I got there I was not myself, I was very cold inside so I didn't get to chat much with my sister. I decided to went straight to the bed, feeling cozy under the blanket.
That's how I spent my Saturday. Still I come your way again in my next diary game.
