I have heard complains of people getting sacked from companies that they claim to have spent their years, sweat to build. That is not a new story for you because even the good guys get fired daily too.
These guys get their butts kicked daily because of some of these underlying reasons;
• Insubordination
• violating social media policy
• using the internet during work hours
• Taking Too Much Time Off
• Damaging Company Property
• Falsifying Company Records
• Using Company Property for Personal Business
• Lying
• Stealing
• Poor Performance
You can add your reasons but I know of one kind of employee that can never be sacked because of how indispensable they are in and for the organization. For them to become indispensable means that they know something that other employee doesn’t know that is making theme to be outstanding.

There is a kind of wisdom known as “work place wisdom”. It is a wisdom that makes you indispensable at work and on your job. It is a kind of wisdom that make you a permanent staff; the kind that is “unsackable” and “unretrencable. It is a shame when those that should be commanding the supernatural are affected by retrenchments and downsizing.

The wisdom needed to avoid this kind of challenge is to become dear to your employer or boss by becoming a contributor and a major productivity generator in the organization.

You will notice in this story in Luke 7:2-4 that the centurion, who was the boss and employer in this case, determined to go any length to make sure his servant’s health was restored, all because he was dear to him. Most employers would help you a little, and hang around you for a week or two. If you fail to recover, they replace you. But his employee was so fruitful and indispensable that he could not be replaced. There is a secret to this kind of life.

There must have been what he did and how he conducted himself that caused him to be much loved and appreciated by his employer.

Here are few suggestions on how to be dear to your employers.

  1. Become so efficient and effective in what you do to the point where they begin to thank and appreciate you. This means beginning to work beyond your salary. My mentor said and I quote “if you are not indispensable then you were never available”

  2. Intentionally do things that will help the organization or company grown and become better. This can be done by bringing all kind of ideas and suggestions. This again is going way beyond your assigned duty.

  3. Work as though you were the owner of the company, and refuse to run down the company even though that is what every other employer is doing. Report people who cheat and steal from the company with “evidence” even it means requesting for your identity to be undisclosed.

  4. Be interested in your boss’s personal welfare. Be part of his family if possible. Be a friend, provided you will not be compromised.
