Como Santo Tomas de la Nueva Guayana de la Angostura fue fundada en el año 1764, la que posteriormente se conocio simplemente como Angostura; y fue hasta el año 1.846 cuando el Congreso la llamo como la conocemos actualmente, Ciudad Bolivar.

As Santo Tomas de la Nueva Guayana de la Angostura it was founded in 1764, which later became known simply as Angostura; and it was not until 1846 when Congress called it as we currently know it, Ciudad Bolivar.

Ciudad Bolivar es la Capital del Estado Bolivar, Venezuela; sin embargo no es atendidad por sus gobernantes como tal, siendo el mayor centro de atencion y de actividad economica la vecina Puerto Ordaz. Y los bolivarenses solo queremos atencion para nuestra amada ciudad.

Ciudad Bolivar is the Capital of the Bolivar State, Venezuela; however, it is not attended by its rulers as such, with neighboring Puerto Ordaz being the main focus of attention and economic activity. And Bolivians only want attention for our beloved city.

Hay tanta historia en esta ciudad, tanta que en la epoca de Simon Bolivar fue decretada temporalmente como capital del pais.
Tenemos tantos sitios de importancia historica y arquitectonica colonial que se refleja en las calles centrales de su casco historico; para los amantes de la historia, para los de la fotografia; esta ciudad es un paraiso.

There is so much history in this city, so much that in the time of Simon Bolivar it was temporarily decreed as the country's capital.
We have so many sites of colonial architectural and historical importance that is reflected in the central streets of its historic quarter; for history lovers, for photography lovers; this city is a paradise.

Pero como todos sabemos la moneda tiene dos caras, y no todo este paraiso es color de rosa; sin embargo por sus 256 años solo les quiero mostrar a traves de estas imágenes lo hermosa y calida que es mi ciudad natal Ciudad Bolivar.

But as we all know, the coin has two faces, and not all of this paradise is rosy; however for its 256 years I just want to show you through these images how beautiful and warm my hometown Ciudad Bolivar is.

Enamorate de mi ciudad y ven a conocerla, ella es solo la puerta a todas las maravillas que tiene el Estado Bolivar.

Fall in love with my city and come to know it, it is only the door to all the wonders that the Bolivar State has.

Advertencia: Si vienes en agosto, que es nuestra feria de la Sapoara, que es un pez del rio Orinoco, no te comas su cabeza porque no podras irte jamas de la ciudad.

Warning: If you come in August, which is our Sapoara fair, which is a fish from the Orinoco river, do not eat your head because you can never leave the city.
