RE: #2 Promo-STEEM Christmas Event! | Win Prizes every 3 days! Theme: Giving
Everyone was excited by the Parents - Teacher Association (PTA) meeting that would be taking place that day simply because their parents would be coming to school to grace the occasion. I was 10years old, in basic five with no mum (she passed away when I was younger) and a nonchalant dad. It was close to everything for me but excitement.
Few minutes to the commencement of the meeting, all stakeholders well seated and I was already thinking about the following day punishment for those students who had no parental representation at the meeting. Out from thin air, a familiar voice called out my name from behind.....
It was my sister.
Obviously, she came to give me parental representation. It was a big relief and an ethereal excitement for me. Perhaps I forgot to tell, I have four siblings - three elder sisters and one younger brother. All my siblings were somewhere far away in another state except my immediate sister who just showed up out from nowhere to give me joy.
She is older than me by four years. The event of that day brought a bond between us that which I will never trade for anything. She gave me the feelings of having a mother without really having one. The mother-child feelings is still intact up till today. She has been playing the roles perfectly well and I am eternally grateful for this. What would life have been without her?
