Life has no shortcuts!
Once upon a time there was a little sheep called Sheila. Sheila was a very positive sheep and everyone always told Sheila how special she was. Sheila believed that she was unique. Just like all sheep are. Sheila grew up with the belief that she can do anything because she was so special. She always pushed herself to do better because she wanted more, AND because she was very special. Sheila was so special that she thought that she was better than everyone else.
Sheila however, was a very kind of special. She was a smooth talker and she had so many schemes. She tried everything and nothing worked out quite like she wanted it, but that didn't matter, she just took on the next challenge. Sheila always had something up her sleeve. She knew that her family looked up to her and was able to convince them to lend her money for all her adventures and when the money ran out, she started to target her friends and always persuaded them to take part in her next scheme that was going to make millions.
Sure, some of her ideas were great, but she never actually succeeded in creating a good business that stood the test of time. Sheila got bored easily and also gave up easily.
Sheila just wanted to upkeep her flamboyant lifestyle. If the one venture failed she just jumped into the next scheme. The other sheep quickly realized that she was a scammer and one after the other they started to refuse her any financial assistance. Sheila just laughed at them and called them stupid because they did not realize that SHE was special and that SHE could do anything.
..... Sheila started to lose all her friends and no one wanted to support her anymore. Eventually Sheila turned out to be a complete wash-out and she ended up somewhere alone. Up to this day no one knows exactly what happened to Sheila after her last scheme.....
The truth is Sheila was so busy all the time being special, that she actually forgot to do something important.
Sheila lived in a total false sense of reality. She might have been confident, and believed in herself, but what no one ever told Sheila was that all sheep had to work hard to get somewhere in life. Sheila never gave anyone the opportunity to look up to her. She was so busy with all her schemes and thinking that she was better than everyone else, that she forgot to put in the effort to create a successful business. She was the only one that believed in herself and should have realized sooner than later that she needed support from friends, and more importantly, EVEN special sheep had to work hard to succeed in life!
In life we can be as positive as we want to be, but if we don't work hard to succeed in life, we will not succeed. Life has no shortcuts. Work for what you want!
Thanks very much for the inspiring words. Everyday is a gift we need to WORK on. Hugs
