Hi beloved people of steem.

It is with pleasure that I partake in this achievement task which has to do with applying markdowns.
Markdowns are very important in blogging because it is what will make a blog look neat and a neat blog will attract readers to read what is being posted.
Some of us do lose interest in a blog because of how jampacked the contents in the blog are and this problem has been solved by this very topic.

Below are some of the tips for applying a mark down on a post

For Heading;

# Heading 1
## Heading 2
### Heading 3
#### Heading 4
##### Heading 5
###### Heading 6

Here are the outcome it gives;

Heading 1

Heading 2

Heading 3

Heading 4

Heading 5
Heading 6

To apply italics, open and end the word with an ASTERICKwithout spacing.
Example: *upvote*
Outcome: upvote

To bold a word or sentence, open and close the word or sentence with DOUBLE ASTERICK without spacing.
Example: **I am success**
Outcome: I am success

To BOLD and ITALICS a word or sentence, add three asterisk at beginning and end of the word or sentence.
Example: ***power and success***
Outcome: power and success

To give a space in between two paragraph, add a page break, insect <br> before you begin the next paragraph.
Example:
Knowledge is power
<br>
The rich owns these two
Outcome:
Knowledge is power

The rich owns these two

To add a thin line after a writeup, like the one above, insect a page break, then add <hr>, followed by another page break again before the next word/sentence.

To centralize a word or sentence, add <center>your word</center> to get it
Example:
<center>success is a must</center>
Outcome:

success is a must

To justify textuse <div> class="text-justify”> and <div> at the end of the write up.

Example of an unjustified writeup;
Every day is an opportunity to be thankful and every day presents to us an opportunity. It is left for us to grab this opportunity and make the best out of it. If we don’t grab this opportunities, we will lose out and we will be unhappy with ourselves.
Example of justified post;

Every day is an opportunity to be thankful and every day presents to us an opportunity. It is left for us to grab this opportunity and make the best out of it. If we don’t grab this opportunities, we will lose out and we will be unhappy with ourselves.

To superscript a text, begin the write up with
And end it with

Example:
40012
Outcome:
40012

To subscript a word;
Use at the beginning of the word/sentence
End the writeup with

Example: F2
Outcome: F2

Whenever an image or word is gotten from another source, it is proper to reference (add a link) in order to avoid been tagged **a plagiarized photo/sentence. This can be done using [source](name of the website).

Example: `source
Outcome: The photo uploaded at the beginning of my publication has a source beneath it. . This method was used to create a link to the source that appears below it.

To mention a steemian, use @ before typing his/her username.
Example: @mosman
Outcome: @mosman

Forming a table is another important markdown we should know. This can be done by adding a pipe | after writeup and dash - below it.

Example:

Header 1 | Heading 2
——— | ———
Cell 1 | cell 2

Outcome of the above will be;

Header 1Header 2
cell 1cell 2

Conclusion

This achievement task has helped me a lot on understanding how markdown are being applied. Now my publications will be neat enough for my readers. Thank you for reading through my achievement 4 post. Have a great one.
